The third edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK, has been slated for October 6, at the Gaumont Palace (Dominion Centre) Wood Green, Londonas various music acts vie for various accolades in Ghanaian music industry.
The awards organised by Alordia Promotions and Westcoast Promotions, is an awards scheme aimed at recognising and awarding Ghanaian musicians, who excelled in their music endeavours in the year under review.
Various top artistes, would be competiting in various categories, which includes the Gospel Song of the Year Hiplife Song of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, Highlife Artiste of the Year, Reggae / Dancehall Artiste of the Year Best Music Video of the Year, Hiplife Artiste of the Year among many others.
Nominations for this year’s awards was announced last month, reigning artiste of the year the late Afro-Dancehall musician Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, known in the music cirles as ”Ebony” toppling compatriot with seven nomination.
KiDi who won the Highlife song of the year had with six nominations with the likes of Kuami Eugene, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale tied with four nominations.
