The National Symphony Orchestra, one of the three resident groups of the National Theatre of Ghana is 60 years, and a number of scintillating musical concerts, have been lined up to mark the event.
These performances would combine – blend authentic traditional Ghanaian and Western classical music.
This was contained in statement issued by the National Theatre, a copy, was made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).
It said the performances would be felt across the length and breadth of the country.
The Diamond Jubilee celebration would begin with a classical musical performance on 31st March 2019 at the main auditorium of the National Theatre.
This is going to be a collaborative performance between Ghana’s internationally acclaimed Symphony Orchestra and the evergreen Harmonious Chorale.
The programme is schedule to start at 1700 hours and tickets are already available at the National Theatre, Salt and Light Ministries–Abelenkpe, Baatsona Total, Max Mart, Frankies–Osu and Koala.
The anniversary is meant to create awareness about music as an artistic form of expression that has the capacity of bringing people together.
It would highlight the relevance and the role music plays in any society.
This promises to be a thrilling musical performance that would leave the audience with fond memories.
