Wee For Medicinal Purpose OK – Jasmine Baroudi

Actress Jasmine Baroudi has added her voice to the ongoing debate to legalise the use of marijuana also known as ‘wee’ in Ghana.

The actress in an interview with Delay on the Delay Show on GhOne TV said there was nothing wrong with using substance for medicinal purpose.

She said, “I think it is fine if it is used for medicinal purposes.”

Delay then personalised the question and asked if she does or has ever used pot at which she quickly answered, “No, Not at all. I have never done that and I will not.”

Jasmine also spoke about her pregnancy, child birth and marriage.

On her pregnancy she said, “I was a bit nervous when it I realised I was pregnant but then again, I was excited. You know, I have had other relationships but I couldn’t get pregnant because I had some issues health wise but now, I am cleared so I was nervous at first but with time, I was ok with it.”

However, Jasmine says the journey—motherhood, her relationship has been amazing. “So far, I have been good, my partner who used to be my personal trainer and I understand each other.

“We started dating after my work out contract with him ended and that has been it. I will not say, everything has been rosy, we have had our bad moments but it all comes to commitment, trust and communication.”

Born to Mrs. Rebecca Akoto and the late Mr. Abdul Razak Baroudi, Jasmine attended Morning Star School, continued to Wesley Girls’ High School and then  to University of Ghana, Legon majoring in Psychology.

Jasmine said her first invitation to act in a movie came from producer Dickson Dzapatsu when he was about to shoot his TV series Between The Sheets.

She has featured in movies such as Contract, Adams Apples Series, Lost In His Glory, Devoted, and television series Peep, Desperations and My Home.
