Meet And Greet Wasn’t In My Contract – Cardi B

AMERICAN rapper Cardi B who has come under fire for ignoring some Ghanaian celebrities on Sunday has stated that there was no Meet and Greet in her contract.
A tall list of Ghanaian celebrities including Wendy Shay, Hajia 4Real, Victoria Lebene, Sandra Ankobiah, Deborah Vanessa, Afia Schwarzenegger, Moesha Boduong, Becca and Lydia Forson were reportedly invited for a Meet and Greet with Cardi B at the Kempinski Hotel but she did not show up.
Instead, according to some of the aggrieved celebrities, she was chilling out by the hotel’s pool.
However, Cardi B said she was not made aware of the meeting. “I asked my booking agent do I have a Meet and Greet today and he said no. So a Meet and Greet wasn’t in my contract.
“I didn’t know I had a Meet and Greet today. I had one in Nigeria and I went out to do all of that. So I wake up around 3p.m. to soak up some sun in the pool, then I started seeing comments that I was to be in a Meet and Greet and I wasn’t there.
“So sorry I wasn’t there to meet Ghanaian artistes but that wasn’t my fault because I was not aware,” she said in a video on her Instagram page.
According to Cardi B, the Ghanaian artistes who were insulting her could have walked up to her and told her she had a Meet and Greet.
“I saw a lot of female artistes that are supposed to be from Ghana and I didn’t know them. I was at the pool by then and the same girls that are talking ill about me online could have walked up to me and ask me if I was aware of any Meet and Greet.
“I am a person that gets paid and I work. I didn’t want to do the show in the first place but I was already here in Ghana and I just had to do that,” she said.
The main event dubbed: “Livespot X Festival” took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday night.
