Six Killed In Accident On Kpong-Akuse Road

Six persons have been confirmed dead while six others sustained varying degrees of injuries in a gory accident which occurred on Saturday morning at Kingdacoco near Kpong-Akuse Junction road in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in the Eastern Region.

The accident involved a Hyundai Grace commercial vehicle with registration number GB 4642-20 which was heading from Juapong towards Accra with 12 passengers on board and a long heavy-duty truck with registration number GT 6473-21 which was carrying railway metals.

Four out of the six dead were females whiles the remaining two were males.

Two out of the six passengers who were injured were in critical condition while the remaining were receiving treatment at the Akuse Government Hospital.

Six other people who are seriously injured, including the driver of the Hyundai vehicle, are currently receiving treatment at the Akuse Government Hospital.
