Their statement comes after a surge in Covid-19 cases in Ghana.
In one of his addresses, President Akufo-Addo revealed that the country has recorded the new strain of the virus (from both UK and South Africa).
Currently, Ghana has recorded 765 new cases bringing the total active cases to 6,411. From February 1 to 3, the virus killed 24 people. The death toll also stands at 464.
Meanwhile, some restrictions have been put in place include the ban on weddings, funerals and large gatherings to ensure the spreading of the virus is minimised.
