Seven people are reported dead after an accident on the Otorkpolu-Odumase Krobo road in the Eastern Region.
The accident is said to have occurred at about 8 pm on Saturday.
The deceased persons were part of a group returning to Akosombo from a funeral at Akim Oda.
They were on board a VRA Daewoo bus with registration number GV 2497-14.
The driver of the vehicle is said to have lost control of the steering wheel while negotiating a curve near Ashitey.
The bus somersaulted several times before landing in a ditch.
A joint team of Police and Fire Service team from Odumase and Somanya rushed to the scene to help save the situation.
Seven persons who were sent to the Atua Government Hospital were pronounced dead while 14 others who are said to be in a critical condition are being attended to at the hospital.
Other injured persons are at the St. Martins De Porres Hospital and the Agormanya Government Hospital.
