The Western Regional Police Command has confirmed the abduction of the Paramount Chief of Lower Dixcove, Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX allegedly by rival chief over boundaries, reports Dotsey Koblah Aklorbortu from Sekondi/Takoradi.
The captors forcibly broke to the main gate and entered into the house, took control palace and took him hostage before midnight.
They also caused level of damage to parts of the palace and transformer which serves the communities resulting in total blackout.
The police rescue team led by the Western Regional Police Commander, Mr R. Dedjoe managed to take custody of abducted paramount and currently on admission at the regional referral hospital in Sekondi.
