Student Arrested After Eating Free KFC For A Year By Posing As A Boss From ‘Head Office’
A 27-year-old student has been arrested for reportedly eating free KFC meals for a year by walking into chains from a limousine and claiming he was from head office.
The unidentified man from the KwaZulu Natal University told staff at the fried chicken shops around Durban that he was from headquarters and was testing standards.
He would stroll in smartly dressed with a clipboard and walk into the back of the kitchen before taking notes and sampling food.
A KFC employee at one of the restaurants told Xpouzar: ‘When he arrived we will all try to act our best so that we don’t p*ss off man from head office, he was so convincing because he was so confident and even colleagues from other KFC’s knows him
‘When he comes in he rushed to the kitchen and check everything taking notes and then ask for samples of whatever he wants.
‘He probably worked for KFC before because he knows everything.’
The suited chicken connoisseur was said to brandish an ID card with the words ‘head office’ and pretended to be quality-testing the meals, while bagging a free dinner, Daily Active Kenya reported.
But despite the dishonesty, the conman has earned the respect of thousands on social media who have praised him as a ‘legend.’
Twitter user Lee Kirichu wrote: ‘He is a legend and is now very experienced taster. KFC should employ him.’
While another called Gladys said: ‘Seizing the opportunity I call it! His is kinda funny to me…. Whole damn year!’
